Former Vipers Goaltender Bilous Cracks Oil Kings Roster:

Former Vernon Vipers goaltender Boston Bilous has cracked the Edmonton Oil Kings Roster.

The Oil Kings drafted Bilous 80th overall in Round 4 of the 2016 Western Hockey League draft attended the Oil Kings training camp before making the team roster. Bilous played one pre-season game last season with the Oil Kings is 0-4 this year with a 4.23 GAA

Bilous played this past season with the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League Fraser Valley Thunderbirds, signed with the Western Hockey League Edmonton Oil Kings July 27 2016. Bilous was called up to the Oil Kings in November 2016 before returning to the Thunderbirds at a later date.

Bilous attended the Vernon Vipers Training Camp in August 2015, was released due to his age (14).

The Edmonton Oil Kings got down to two goaltenders on Thursday as they dropped Josh Dechaine from their roster. Dechaine, 19, is from St. Alberta, Alta., and is expected to join the AJHL’s Sherwood Park Crusaders, who acquired his junior A rights from the SJHL’s La Ronge Ice Wolves. . . . Dechaine got into two games (3,00, .895) with the Oil Kings this season. Last season, he played in 17 games (4.41, .876). . . . His departure leaves the Oil Kings with two goaltenders — Travis Child, 20, and Boston Bilous, 16.
