The EC Red Bull Salzburg make their first ever visit to Vernon-Kal Tire Place are playing their third game of a current four game BCHL Exhibition tour through BC. EC Red Bull Salzburg took their first game 8-6 in West Kelowna January 18th before falling 6-1 in Penticton on January 20th. EC Red Bull Salzburg will wrap up the tour Wednesday in Victoria. EC Red Bull Salzburg is a professional ice hockey team based in Salzburg, Austria, that currently plays in the Austrian Hockey League. Red Bull Salzburg is an Under-20 team, with their roster made of up of players 16 to 20-years-old. The 25-man roster is mostly made up of 17 and 18 year olds with just two 20 year olds. Their roster is represented by seven countries. Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden. Salzburg plays in the Erste Bank Young Stars League (EBYSL) which is made up of 14 teams from Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia and the Czech Republic.
