Suprise in the GCK Lions' lineup in yesterday's game against the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers: Their former import-player Alex Nikiforuk, who had to leave the team after the last season, has returned.

Although Nikiforuk still had a valid contract with the GCK Lions, he had to leave last summer. But because he has found no new team since then, he is now back with the Lions organisation, Die Südostschweiz writes. In yesterday's game he played alongside Denis Malgin, but was not able to prevent the GCK Lions from falling 1-5 to the Lakers. (tme)
