New England's Pro-Am Hockey annual Pre-draft showcase started Friday with games over the weekend. The New England Pro-Am started it's first Pre-Draft Showcase back in 1989, a chance for players that are annually eligible for the NHL Entry Draft. It is now a highly successful annual event held in Boston each May. Former Vernon Vipers defenceman Marc Hetnik suited up for East Coast Militia. Hetnik who is from Brookline, MA played this season with the Vernon Vipers will be playing this coming season (2012-13) at Botson University. Hetnik will join former Vipers, Ryan Santana, Sahir Gill & Garrett Noonan next season at Boston University. Marc Hetnik went pointless as East Coast Militia defeated Firstar Canada West (Prospects) 4-3 this morning to move onto the Pre-draft showcase semi-finals this afternoon.

Marc Hetnik's one assist wasnt enough as East Coast Militia fell 3-2 in the Pre-draft showcase final as Hockey Essentials would take home the championship. Hetnik finished with a goal and three assists in six games at the showcase.
