Vipes acquire James Kerr

The Vernon Vipers have traded 20 year old forward Ryan DePape to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs for 18 year old forward James Kerr. Ryan DePape appeared in 19 games for the Vipers registering 6 goals and 7 assists. James Kerr, a native of Penticton, comes to Vernon after just competing for Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge where he was an assistant captain. This season as the Alberni Valley Bulldogs captain, Kerr had 4 goals and 3 assists in 18 games. In 2007-2008 he had 43 points in 60 games. James Kerr is committed to Princeton University.
