Arquiett Leaves Vipers/Joins Wings:

Vernon Vipers forward Will Arquiett has left the Vernon Vipers and joined the North American

Hockey League Aberdeen Wings.

Arquiett scored in his Wings debut Friday in a 4-1 win over the Bismarck Bobcats. Here is the full story here from the Wings website,

The Wings drafted Arquiett 23rd overall in the first round of the NAHL Draft back in July 2020.

The Vipers acquired Arquiett from the Cowichan Capitals October 13 2020 for Brett Fudger, Colby Feist and future considerations. In 10 games this season with the Vipers Arquiett collected (4-goals-1-assist-5-points).

  1. Will Arquiett was the Vipers most skilled player this season. With the BCHL regular season still up in the air and Arquiett being drafted by the Wings, can you blame him for leaving? Why wouldn't he leave and have a chance to still play hockey this year, especially being a 20 year old and the future of the BCHL regular season still undecided.

    With the BCHL regular season still in question, several players have left the BCHL for the USHL or NAHL. Now that the Christmas break is over, I wouldn't be surprised to see more players leave to play hockey elsewhere.
