The Salmon Arm Silverbacks hosted their annual Awards Banquet In late March. Former Vernon Vipers defenceman Sol Seibel was named the Hit man of the Year. Seibel had thirteen assists in 43 games with Salmon Arm this season.
Seibel played parts of two seasons in Vernon (2016-2018) playing in 77 games with the Vipers collecting (1-goal-12-assists-13-points). The Vipers traded Seibel and future considerations to the Alberta Junior Hockey League Bonnyville Pontiacs for forward Derek Brown January 8th 2018. Seibel never played a game with Bonnyville was traded to Salmon Arm January 10th 2018.

Last Thursday, the Silverbacks hosted their annual Awards Banquet at Elk’s Hall. With players, staff, fans, volunteers, family, and friends in attendance, it was a great night to cap off the 2018/19 season.
