Red Star Resign Vipers Alumni Kane:

The KHL Kunlun Red Star have resigned former Vernon Vipers forward Cory Kane.

Kane will be returning to Kunlun for a second season after collecting (12-goals-8-assists-20-points) in his first season last year with Red Star. HC Kunlun Red Star (simplified Chinese: 北京昆仑鸿星 or 昆仑鸿星; traditional Chinese: 北京崑崙鴻星 or 崑崙鴻星; pinyin: Běijīng Kūnlún Hóngxīng or Kūnlún Hóngxīng) is a Chinese ice hockey club that joined the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in 2016.

After four years at Ferris State University (2010-2014) Kane signed his first PTO (player tryout) contract with the American Hockey League (AHL) Providence Bruins on April, 7th 2014. Kane has spent the past five seasons in four different leagues (AHL, ECHL, Czech & KHL) with five different teams (Providence Bruins, South Carolina Stingrays, Texas Stars, HC Ocelari Trinec & Kunlun Red Star).

Kane played two years in Vernon (2008-2010) In 119 regular season games with the Vipers Kane collected (42-goals-55-assists-97-points).
