Sparrow picks up at RBC Cup where he left off, earns POW nod

Vernon Vipers forward Colton Sparrow has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending May 12, the league announced Monday.

Sparrow notched a hat trick in Monday's 6-4 win over the Yorkton Terriers. The hometown Vernon product also scored in the team's opening game at the RBC Cup, a 3-2 loss to the Carleton Place Canadians.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound 20-year-old's four tallies leads all scorers at the RBC Cup and also has him atop the overal scoring table.
