Lets take a look at the Vernon Vipers:

The Vernon Vipers who are hosting the 2014 Royal Bank Cup in May clinched a playoff spot for the first time in three years after missing the playoffs the last two seasons.  The last time Vernon was in the playoffs they fell short in the 2011 RBC Cup in Camrose.  Ryan Renz & Colton Sparrow are the only two players still playing with the Vipers that were part of that Vernon team.  Vernon finished in 3rd place in the Interior Division with a regular season record of 30-18-4-6 finished three points up on 4th place Merritt and eight points back of Penticton & West Kelowna.  The Vipers come into the playoffs riding a two game losing streak after back to back losses to Trail & Merritt to finish the regular season.  Vernon won three of their last five regular season games and went 6-3-0-1 in their final ten games of the year.  The Vipers will face the Warriors for a third time in playoff history won both previous playoff series have struggled in West Kelowna over the last few regular seasons winning just twice in their last ten visits to Royal Le Page Place.  Over the past few years this has been a homer series as both the teams seem to do very well at home but struggle in the other teams building.

Brett Mulcahy (30-15-45) lead the Vipers in goals during the regular season with thirty while Michael McNicholas (23-46-69) lead the Vipers in points during the regular season with sixty nine.
