Florida Everblades Suspend Former Viper Deckert:

The East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) Florida
Everblades have suspended former Vernon Vipers goaltender Jesse Deckert.  No official press release from the Everblades but it is posted under the transactions page on December 9th 2013 on the ECHL website.

The American Hockey League (AHL) Charlotte Checkers signed Deckert this past off season on July 30th 2013 before re-assigning the goaltender to Florida on September 30th 2013.  The Checkers re-called Deckert back up to the AHL on October 16th 2013 before reassigning the goaltender back down to Florida on October 24th 2013.

In 1 game with the Checkers Deckert had a no decision collecting a 4.92 GAA while in 9 games with the Everblades Deckert is 6-1-2 with a 2.71 GAA

Deckert spent four years at the University of Manitoba before signing with the Everblades last year on March, 20th 2013 after signing a amateur tryout agreement on March 6th 2013. In eleven games with Florida last year Deckert went 9-1-1 with a 2.40 GAA

Deckert actually never played with the Vipers. Deckert left the WHL Tri-City Americans in November of 2004 joining the MJHL Swan Valley Stampeders. Deckert never played with the Stampeders before coming to Vernon for a tryout where he practiced with the Vipers for a week before being released and signing with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks where he would finish the 2004-2005 season.
