Grizzlies Trade Former Vipers Florentino & Elser:

The Victoria Grizzlies have traded former Vernon Vipers forward, Brian Elser & defenceman, Rob Florentino. Elser was traded over the summer to Victoria in the Jonathan Milhouse trade. Florentino was at the Vipers training camp and played in some pre season games, before being released due to his age (20) Vernon with already six 20 year olds (league limit) would have to have traded one of the teams veteran 20 year olds from last years team to make room for Florentino. Florentino was released and picked up by the Victoria Grizzlies at the start of the BCHLs regular season.

I havnt seen any actually transaction posted anywhere but I noticed both players were not listed on Victorias roster anymore. So I started searching and all I could find was a newspaper article from September 24th in the Victoria Times Colonist. Heres the little clipping I copied and pasted.

Over in the Grizzlies camp players continued to be shuffled, as coach Victor Gervais keeps searching for the right mix. Centre Brian Elser and defenceman Robert Florentino are the latest to be dealt, although their new teams haven't been named.

I cant find anything news or new team on Brian Elser but did come across Rob Florentino as he has ended up playing in the EJHL for the South Shore Kings. The Kings have signed former division 1 dman Rob Florentino. Florentino is 6'2" 200 pounds and spent last season playing for AIC in the ACHA.
In 6 games with the Kings Florentino has 1 assist. Heres a look at Florentino's player profile,
