  2. And here we go again..... This is getting ridiculous! Players are coming and going almost every few days to every week. I'm really getting sick of this. It's hard to follow the team with so many roster changes, new players every week, players leaving every week etc. I understand the new NCAA rules changed Junior hockey and all teams in the BCHL are suffering because of the new rules but it seems like Vernon & Blackfalds have had the most turnover this season. I'd really like to know what players have left to play Major Junior hockey or for a better opportunity in another league or what players have left due to the fact they are not happy here? Tired of losing & playing for a team near the bottom of the standings?

I already talked about Jakub Galnor in a previous post. Noah Grolnic was tied with two other players for fifth in team scoring. I thought played hard, didn't stand out every game but brough a bit of skill/offence now and again. The Vipers had a great goaltending duo this season but once Jarri Kykkanen arrived, Marko Bilic didn't see much time between the pipes. With a team fighting for a playoff spot, I guess they decided to go with the veteran 20 yr old. Bilic is only 18 and was suppose to return next season as I would assume the teams starting goaltender at the age of 19. I liked this kid and thought he stood on his head in most games this season. It seemed like almost every game he played, the Vipers were badly outplayed and Bilic was heavily relied on to keep the Snakes in the hockey game. A big loss for sure. Now the team has to try and acquire another goaltender.

The Vipers have had 46 players play for the team this season. Here are the Vipers transactions since training camp

  9. Bilic had signed with Maryland Black Bears and Noah Golnic is now on the roster of Colorado Grit. The teams are both in the NAHL.

  10. I don’t blame Bilic for bolting he got totally screwed over by Lomicky .
ask Colin Reay what he thinks of being traded he was a stand up guy with his teammates and the community. Sad times in Vernon

  11. He’s just one of many who got shafted by this “coach”. No surprise they’ve gone through players like we’ve never seen before. He needs to go if they want to have a chance to compete consistently. Can’t even keep an assistant with major ties to the club.
