  2. Sad to see Colin go. Once the Vipers signed Jari Kykkanen you knew the Vipers weren't going to keep three goaltenders and either Reay or Bilic were gone. I really liked Reay and wish him all the best in Prince George.

When the season started the Vipers had ten players returning from the 2023-24 season. Georgios Stavrianeas, Carson McGinley, Shea Busch, Adam Csabi, Luke Bibby, Erik Pastro, Zhenya Miles, Lukas McCloskey, Cooper Cleaves and Colin Reay.

Georgios Stavrianeas, Luke Bibby, Erik Pastro and Cooper Cleaves are now the only players remaining from last season.

  3. The Vipers suck! This season is an embarrassment, time to fire the coaches

    1. Do you really think this revolving door is the coaches? Think again!

    2. I disagree that it’s an embarrassment. It’s a team that is struggling, so be it. If you’re not happy about it, quit going to the games and stay home. You won’t be missed.

    3. If it's not the coaches, then why are they standing behind the bench? Arevthey sheep? They have a job to do so they should do it. Have some friggin integrity for what you do. Get out if you can't do the job the way you want it done.

  4. Maybe not the players leaving for the CHL but certainly the players who committed to the Vipers and then were released. That is all on the Vipers, their poor recruiting & inability to put a team together.

  5. Fans, if you look at the stats of all the teams in each division then really doesn't look that bad as where still in the mix. Also all teams struggle to some degree until they have the team there looking for and want until after christmas. I really am not worried as I am sure our team will be just fine and will see what happens. GO,VIPERS,GO

  6. Sure are a lot of fans wearing rose coloured glasses who react to any criticism or negative comments with “if you’re not happy quit going to games”. If YOU are not happy reading “truthful” comments and opinions maybe you should not bother reading them. Everyone sees what they want and put their own spin on the Viper struggles.

Personally I am frustrated with the mass turnover of players, not from the defections to the CHL, but the number of players recruited and committed then quickly released. The past few years the Vipers has announced big signings after having them commit to the program then cutting them loose very quickly. I think it is disrespectful to aspiring young players and is a black mark on this once proud franchise. Certainly not all players will make it but making a valid effort to “coach” them is expected. To turn them over so quickly either illustrates the pathetic scouting or the inadequate coaching. Try working with these young men for a change.

    1. The ‘rose coloured glasses’ statement does not appropriately reflect the feelings, Geezer. Unfortunately, you’re the one who does not know what’s truly happening here. Be positive, or stay home.

  7. I totally agree with you Geezer. No matter who you talk to, everyone has there own opinion

  8. Sebastian... please concentrate less on my "rose colored glasses" statement and more on my 2nd paragraph. The recruits and their families deserve more respect than they are getting. They are looking for a path to education through a stable hockey environment , a fair chance and good coaching. Are they getting is with the Vipers? If we are being honest it is a pretty easy answer.
