The ECHL Kalamazoo Wings have placed former Vernon Vipers
forward Ayden MacDonald on reserve.

MacDonald is in his third season with the ECHL Kalamazoo Wings, after re-signing with the Wings August 29th 2023. In 16 this season, MacDonald has (3-goals-4-assists-7-points).
The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a minor professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams across the United States and Canada. Competitively, it is a tier below the American Hockey League (AHL). The league serves as a farm system to the AHL and the National Hockey League (NHL).
MacDonald split the 2022-23 season with the ECHL Greenville Swamp Rabbits & ECHL Kalamazoo Wings. MacDonald started the 2022-23 season with the Swamp Rabbits before being traded to Kalamazoo March 16th 2023.
MacDonald played five years at Brock University from 2017-2022 before signing his first professional contract with the ECHL Greenville Swamp Rabbits January 4th 2022.
MacDonald committed to the Vernon Vipers for the 2014-15 season. The Vipers traded MacDonald & Jake Emilio to the Victoria Grizzlies October 8th 2014 for Brandon Egli, Mitch Meek and future considerations. MacDonald went pointless in 5 games with the Vipers. MacDonald played parts of four years in the BCHL with Surrey, Vernon, Victoria and Cowichan from 2013-2017.
