Did any Vipers fans make the road trip this weekend?
ReplyDeleteDid you watch the Vipers game on flohockey this evening or were you curled up in grandmas easy chair with a cup of hot cocoa listening to Graham on the radio
What did you think of tonight's Vipers-Clippers game? What are your comments/opinion on the game?
Rolling 4 lines, no changes in the pp, no accountability for turnovers etc. I know the players are ultimately responsible for what happens on the ice but at this level the coaching has to be better as well.
ReplyDeleteI watched the Vipers-Clippers game on flohockey. I thought the game/Vipers were better then the final score. It didn't help the Vipers fell behind 3-0 in the 1st period but it was a much closer period then the score. I thought both teams were fairly even at times with the Clippers having a slight edge in play at times. Vernon had several good looks/opportunities, couldn't score and two turnovers lead to two goals. The Clippers third goal late in the period was a killer. I thought Vernon played very well in the 2nd and 3rd periods and were the better team. The Snakes had numerous chances/opportunities couldn't find the back of the net or catch a break. More turnovers also didn't help as a turnover late in the 2nd period lead to Nanaimo's fourth goal and then a bad turnover in the 3rd put the game away. Otto Nuto was very good in goal for the Clippers. Nanaimo capitalize on the Vipers mistakes/turnovers and scored on there opportunities. This was a very chippy/feisty game. The Vipers didn't look good defensively tonight and gave up a ton of turnovers, four that lead to goals. Dennis Lominac made his Vipers debut, was all over the ice. Didn't look like a very big crowd at the Frank Crane tonight.
ReplyDeleteThe Clippers have won four of the last five games vs the Vipers.
Vipers with a quick turn around, have an early start tomorrow night in Powell River.
Vipers had chances but just couldn’t finish or hit the net. They took a lot of shots from too far out. Great that they battled back from being down 3-0 to make it 3-2 in the second period but that awful turnover at the Nanaimo blue line late in the second gave up a huge goal. All the way down the ice I just knew it would turn out to be a goal. Kikkanen had made so many big saves but that breakaway was a killer. And talk about small crowds.
ReplyDeleteBob are you making the trip to Powell River. Any Predictions?
