  1. I watched the Vipers/Bucks game on flo hockey this evening. A big win vs a very good Bucks team and the Bucks first loss at home. This was an entertaining hockey game. I thought the Vipers played well and held their own in the 1st period with Cranbrook having a slight edge in play. Vipers scored three goals in the 2nd in a period where they looked and played really well. Cranbrook pushed in the 3rd and carried the better of the play. The Vipers had to kill off two early back to back penalties in the 3rd and got some big saves from Colin Reay before the Bucks got to within a goal. Vernon added two empty netters for the win and their first two game winning streak of the season. Cranbrook has a good transition game, is quick, can move the puck up ice in a hurry and have some speedy/skilled forwards. I liked the looks of the Vipers new defencemen. Vipers better get some rest/sleep with a quick turn around, play Sunday afternoon in Okotoks.

This team has improved and playing much better since the start of the season. For a team that couldn't score, has scored five or more goals in three of their last four games.

    Go Vipers Go!
