  1. I watched the Vipers/Smoke Eaters game on my computer tonight. This was a much cleaner and less feisty/chippy game as both teams played hockey. I thought the Smoke Eaters were the better team and had a bit of the edge in play at different times. Trail with a big opening period, jump out to a 2-0 lead. The Smokies get a late scare as the Vipers push but hold on for the must win to keep the season and series going. The Vipers give up two 1st period goals for a second straight night. Giving up the second goal in the dying seconds of the 1st hurt. Vernon played well at times and looked good at times but wasn't sharp, made mistakes, were turning over the puck way too much and couldn't capitalize on their chances until late in the 3rd. The Vipers hit the post/crossbar three times in the 2nd period. Nick Mikan left the game after the opening frame and didn't return. Luke Pakulak took a puck to the head late in the 3rd period. Another small crowd in Trail tonight with lots of empty seats. Game 5 goes Friday in Vernon.

  2. Vernon can play better than this. It starts by showing up in the first period for the whole period. Let’s go Vipers!! 🏒

  3. That stick save at the end of the 3rd by Ethan was unreal!
