I watched the Vipers/Eagles game on my computer this evening. The Eagles are 9-0 for a reason. This is a very good hockey team that basically put the game away in the 1st period. The Eagles are very quick, move the puck well, hard to contain, defend against, always seem to have someone open, very skilled, dangerous with and without the puck, can score at ease and make plays look easy. The Vipers almost didn't have a chance from the start but played a little better in the 2nd and 3rd periods, but with Surrey in control 5-0 did the Eagles take their foot off the gas? Julian Facchinelli missed his second straight game with an upper body injury. The Snakes have played three games in five days and it doesn't get any easier with a game Friday in Penticton.
I am sure the coaching staff will be looking at the video at the game with surrey as to see where they can improve and better development there game and strategy. Losing a game against a better team sometimes is helpful as it shows where improvement is needed. GO,VIPERS,GO.
I'm really beginning to wonder about the play of Ethan David. I know it's early but he's playing more and just not stealing any games for us this year. I just don't think he looks as solid as last season
