The 28-20-6-0 West Kelowna Warriors are coming off a 4-3 shootout victory Saturday in Salmon Arm to finish the 2022-23 regular season. Salmon Arm lost 4-2 Sunday afternoon in Penticton, giving the Warriors 3rd place and home ice advantage vs the Vernon Vipers. A Salmon Arm win and the Warriors would have faced Prince George in the opening round of the playoffs. West Kelowna went 4-1 vs the Vipers during the regular season. The Warriors lost three of their final five regular season games, also lost six of their final ten regular season games to finish the regular season. This is the fifth time the Warriors & Vipers have met in the playoffs, with Vernon winning three of the previous four playoff series.
