I watched the Vipers/Bucks game online tonight. I thought Cranbrook was the better team and carried the better of the play. The Bucks have a very good team, that is quick, has a good transition game, move the puck well and activate the defence into the play as well as play with an aggressive forecheck. The Bucks seemed to have the bounces go their way tonight. The Snakes played well at times but not for the full game. Vernon turned over way too many pucks in their own end, one leading to a goal and made way too many mistakes vs a very good Cranbrook team. I thought the Vipers played well in the second half of the 1st period and played well in the 3rd, pressing hard for the game tying goal late. Vernon didn't get a whole lot of chances but then they did, they couldn't score. The Bucks are 3-1 vs the Vipers this year. Vernon continues to struggle on the road, have only three wins in their last fifteen road games. The Vipers play six of their next eight games on the road. With the loss and a Wenatchee win, the Vipers drop to 7th and would face Cranbrook in the first round of the playoffs if the playoffs were today.
How can the Cranbrook Bucks be an expansion team when they joined the league in 2020?
How is losing to the Bucks embarrassing? The Vipers are 18-18-04 and 7th in the division, while the Bucks are 27-10-1-1 and 2nd in the division and one of the leagues top teams. Before the game even started, most fans would agree that Cranbrook should win due to being one of the leagues top teams and having a stronger team then Vernon, but losing 4-2 (empty net goal) to one of the leagues top teams is not embarrassing.
You said I'm being kind because I'm getting less hits on my blog? First off if you have followed my blog over the years I tell it like it is and how I see the game. As a fan and long time season ticket holder and paying customer, I have the right to view my opinion on the team, good or bad and I have voiced my opinion on the team good or bad over the years and not afraid too. If the Vipers have a bad game, I come on here and say they played bad. If they looked good, I say they looked good. If they make a trade and I don't think they made a good trade, I'll say it. I'm not going to sugarcoat things, I say it the way I see it and that's my opinion.
As for my blog getting less views, I don't know how you would know that because I'm the only one who can see the view tracker that counts how many views I get per day, per month, per year etc. Every year this blog gets more viewers and the numbers don't lie. I had over 14,000 views for the month of January. I get between 400-1000 viewers a day and I have had over 2.3 million viewers visit this site since creating this blog in 2008.
Everyone has their own opinion and view on the game and team and I respect that but don't come on here and spew lies and incorrect information.
Why is it that a team that has been in the league less than three years is in second place and a team that has been in the league forever in seventh place. I would agree it's embarrassing. I think you are being a little sensitive to put too much stock in an individual that has a different opinion than yourselve, even when I think the individual is clearly wrong. Those are the people you laugh about and discount. When you allow anonymous comments you leave yourelf open.
Kelowna doesn't have a BCHL team, why would somebody from Kelowna care about a team from the BCHL? Or do you mean West Kelowna that are in 3rd place, also ahead of the 7th place losers?
