  1. I'm very curious to see what the team looks like this season after a very poor season last year, but I'm not holding my breath. With 11 players returning and 13 new recruits/committed players, it will be interesting to see how they look and compete against the top teams like the Penticton's, Salmon Arm's & West Kelowna's. I like to wait until the 10-15 game mark and then make my opinion on the team. The good teams use the first 5-10 games to work out the kinks and gel together as a team and then slowly start to pull away from the weaker teams. For example, Penticton usually needs the first handful of games before going on a very long winning streak and pulling away from the rest of the pack. Since the new owners and Jason McKee have taken over the Vipers, the team has been in and around the 500 mark or below and amongst the middle of the pack in the Interior Division with an average team at best. McKee is 70-62-7-6 (regular season) as Vipers Head Coach/GM. The recruiting has been sub-par most seasons with alot of recruits/committed players released before the season starts or traded during the season. Last season was one of the worst Vipers teams I have seen in all of my years as season ticket holder. The Vipers better put together a strong/competitive team this season. The Vipers recruiting has to be much better if they want to compete with the Penticton's, Salmon Arm's & West Kelowna's. I think Jason McKee should be worried about his job this season. I'm giving McKee a very short leash, If the team gets off to a slow start and struggles early, it's time for a coaching change.

    Go Vipers Go!

  2. The players have changed every year, the coaching hasn’t, enough said, period.
