Vipers Alumni Stapley/Denver Pioneers Win National Championship:

Former Vernon Vipers forward Brett Stapley and the Denver Pioneers won their

ninth National Championship Saturday after a 5-1 victory over Minnesota State.

Stapley is in his fourth season at the University of Denver. In 41 games, Stapley has (18-goals-25-assists-43-points).

Stapley attended the Montreal Canadiens development camp in 2020. Stapley was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in Round 7 of the 2018 NHL Draft.

Stapley played three seasons in Vernon from 2015-2018. In 153 games with the Vipers, Stapley collected (47-goals-74-assists-121-points).
