  1. I watched the Vipers-Centennials game on my computer.

The Centennials gave the Vipers a good scare in the 1st period but Vernon got their game going and improved as the game continued. Jackson Baker kept the Cents in the hockey game and gave his team a chance to stay in the game and a chance to win. Merritt played well at times but it was the Vipers who were the better team, especially in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Great to see Luke Pakulak and Copeland Fricker return to the lineup. Cade McNelly served his final game of a four game suspension will return to the lineup Saturday.

With the win, Vernon is only two points behind Cranbrook for 5th place and six points behind Prince George for 4th place in the Interior Conference. If the Snakes finish 5th they will play West Kelowna in the playoffs, if they finish 4th they will face Prince George in the first round of the playoffs. The Vipers are 1-3 vs West Kelowna this year and 6-3 vs Prince George.

  2. The Saturday March 19 game is the final time the Vipers and Merritt will play this season. Things that make you say hmmmmmmm: that game will be McNelly's first game back after the brutal cross check to the head of Merritt's Geoff Bjarnason that lead to a later scrap and a 4 game suspension to McNelly and one game to Bjarnason. Hmmmmm. I wonder.
