Brandt played three seasons at Royal Military College (2017-2020) before committing to Grant MacEwan University for the 2020-21 season.

Brandt played three seasons in Vernon (2014-2017). In 140 games with the Vipers, Brandt collected (38-goals-33-assists-71-points). Brandt was captain of the Vipers in his final season of Junior hockey.
