  1. I missed the Vipers/Warriors game this afternoon as I was at work. I watched the game online tonight.

Well after a fairly even matched 1st period, the Warriors took over the game and outplayed the Vipers in the 2nd and 3rd periods. The Warriors had a lot of puck posession and zone time in the 2nd and 3rd periods. The Snakes looked sloppy at times, showed very little emotion and had troubles generating offence most of the afternoon. The Warriors defence was solid in the final two periods keeping Vernon to the outside and limiting their scoring chances. West Kelowna played with an edge and seemed to have more jump/energy all afternoon. Tyson Jugnauth's goal at 18:34 of the middle frame, put the Tribe up 3-2 heading into the 3rd was one of today's turning points. Cameron MacDonald couldn't capitalize on a 3rd period penalty shot that would have got the Snakes to within a goal late in the final frame. For the first time this Pod season, Vernon opened the scoring and could have jumped out to a two or three goal lead if they could have capitalized on some 1st period opportunities. Roan Clarke got his first start of the Pod season, looked shaky in the 1st period didn't look confident between the pipes today. West Kelowna was the better team and fully deserved the win.

Tyler Carpendale and Ryan Shostak looked good and played well for the Vernon Vipers.

Marcus Joughin, Porter Dawson, Carter Wilkie, Tyson Jugnauth & Tyler Cristall looked good and played good for the West Kelowna Warriors.

West Kelowna improves to 2-1-1-0 while Vernon falls to 3-1-0-0

The Vipers host the Salmon Arm Silverbacks Saturday at 6pm
