  1. I watched the Warriors/Vipers game online this evening.

The Vipers jumped out to a 3-0 1st period lead and never looked back. It was all Vernon in the opening frame who carried the better of the play, had more zone time, more puck possession and outshot West Kelowna 13-4. The Snakes were by far the better team and outplayed the Tribe the whole 1st period.

An early go into the middle frame chased rookie and starting goaltender Austin Madge making it 4-0 Vernon and the game basically over at this point. The Vipers for a second straight period dominated the play, the period and were by far the better of the two teams. The Snakes scored four 2nd period goals as the route was on. WK looked out of gas, had troubles defending and getting any kind of zone time or pressure in the offensive zone. With the game out of reach, the Warriors had the edge in play in the final five or six minutes as the Vipers looked to have taken their foot off the gas.

With the game long but over both teams looked to want and try and get tonight's game over with in the final frame. The Warriors had more puck possession and zone time at times. Vernon would still manage to score twice more before the game ended.

The Snakes took advantage of a West Kelowna team missing several players due to suspension and injury and a Warriors team that played last night in a hard fought 3-0 victory over Salmon Arm. Vernon has had their problems with the Tribe this Pod season, especially scoring goals but tonight the Snakes torched the Warriors for nine goals. The Vipers have now won four straight and have at least a point in five games.

Seth Bafaro, Nicholas Remissong, Jack Glen, James Porter Jr, Trey Taylor, Cameron MacDonald, Tyler Carpendale & Ryan Shostak looked good and played well for the Vernon Vipers.

After playing last night and with a short bench this evening, the Vipers were just too much for a banged up Warriors team. West Kelowna looked tired and out of gas in the opening frame and just didn't have their legs or game going tonight and the end result showed. Goaltending wasn't the issue who struggled to gain puck possession, zone time and generate any kind of pucks or scoring chances as the Warriors chased the game almost all night. West Kelowna now gets a much needed three days off, don't play until Friday vs the Vipers.

Carter Wilkie and Benjamin Woodhouse looked good and played well for the West Kelowna Warriors.
