Vasterviks IK is a professional hockey team from Vastervik, Sweden that plays in the Swedish Ice Hockey League.
Connor will join his twin brother and former Vernon Vipers forward Kellen Jones who plays for Vasterviks IK.
Jones played last year with HC Thurgau, a professional hockey team from Weinfelden, Switzerland.
Jones played four years at Quinnipiac University before signing his first professional contract with the American Hockey League Oklahoma City Barons April 3rd 2014.
Jones signed a one-year, two-way NHL/AHL contract with the New York Islanders February 22nd 2017. Jones made his NHL debut with the Islanders April 2nd 2017 in a 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Jones played one game with the Islanders before being sent down to the American Hockey League April 4th 2017.
Jones played four years in Vernon (2006-2010) In 163 games with the Vipers, Jones collected (80-goals-118-assists-198-points). Jones is listed 6th on Vernon Junior hockey's all-time points list with 198 points & is tied for 6th on Vernon Junior hockey's all-time goals list with 80 goals & is listed 7th on Vernon Junior hockey's all-time assists list with 118 points.

Connor played his first game for Västerviks IK on January 4. Besides Connor and Kellen Jones, the Västerviks team has two other BCHL grads, Gerry Fitzgerald and Ryan Gropp. So far this season, Kellen has been the most productive of the four, with 10 goals and 14 assists.
