  1. I watched tonight's Vipers-Silverbacks on Hockey TV

The Silverbacks jumped on the Vipers early and often but couldn't capitalize on some chances. Salmon Arm was the better team in the 1st period but it was the Snakes who were the better of the two teams in the 2nd and 3rd periods. The TSN turning point for me was the middle frame, where it looked like the Vipers had a ton of chances but couldn't score/capitalize on their opportunities. In the final twenty seconds or so Vernon had two or three plays in and around the net that either hit someone in front just missing the open cage. Both teams went back and fourth in overtime with lots of chances at both ends of the rink.

The line of Ethan Mercer, Ryan Shostak and Josh Prokop was the Vipers best unit and played very well. Luke Pakulak also played well. Koen MacInnes made his Vipers debut wasn't tested much through out the night but was forced to make a few big saves.

Kieran Ruscheinski, Cameron Recchi, Daniel Panetta & Riley Kohonick played well for Salmon Arm. Kohonick was the difference kept the Apes in the hockey game and gave them a chance to win.

I thought the Vipers had the better of the chances and were the better team in the 2nd and 3rd periods, couldn't buy a goal tonight, could have scored at least six or seven goals. This was a game where the Snakes could have put this game away when leading 1-0 but couldn't. Salmon Arm ties the game in the 3rd on the PP and forces overtime/the shootout come away with the win. A very disapointing loss for the Vipers.
