Former Vipers Goaltender Derrick Injured:


Former Vernon Vipers goaltender Johnny Derrick left Friday's game vs the visiting Penticton Vees with an undisclosed injury. Derrick left the pre-season game before the 2nd period started. Derrick & the West Kelowna Warriors lost 7-3 In 5 games with the Warriors this pre-season Derrick is 2-2 with a 1.86 GAA

Derrick is in his second season with the Warriors. Last year Derrick went 10-17 with the Warriors posting two shutouts and a 3.30 GAA. Derrick played two seasons at West Vancouver Academy Prep school before joining the Warriors.

Derrick attended the Vernon Vipers spring camp & training camp in 2017 & 2018 also played in a few exhibition games in 2017 & 2018 before being cut/released. Derrick was an affiliated player "AP" with the 2018-19 Vernon Vipers.
