Mayhem Add Former Vipers Urban & Stiliadis To Teams Protected List:

The Southern Professional Hockey League announced its Protected Lists as submitted by each of its member teams. The Macon Mayhem have thirteen players listed on there protected list, two are former Vernon Vipers affiliated/"AP" defenceman Zach Urban & former Vernon Vipers goaltender Michael Stiliadis.

Urban started the 2019-20 season with the Mayhem. Urban has spent the past three seasons with the Mayhem, was loaned to the ECHL Kalamazoo Wings November 22 2019 before being released December 4th 2019 before signing with the ECHL South Carolina Stingrays January 5th 2020. Urban had one goal in five games with the Wings & one assist in three games with the Stingrays.  In 42 games with the Mayhem Urban had (2-goals-11-assists-13-points).

Urban spent the 2018-19 season between the Mayhem & the ECHL Toledo Walleye. 

After playing two years at the University of Northern Michigan Urban signed his first professional contract with the Mayhem in 2017.

Urban played one game as an "AP" affiliated player with the Vernon Vipers during the 2010-11 season. Urban also played with Penticton, Powell River, Victoria, Salmon Arm & Langley.

Stiliadis spent last season with four teams in two different leagues. (Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, Elmira Enforcers, Watertown Wolves & the Macon Mayhem). Stiliadis started the 2013-14 season with the Vernon Vipers. The Vipers traded Stiliadis October, 10th 2013 to the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) Georgetown Raiders for future considerations. In 3 games with the Vipers this season Stiliadis went 1-2 with a 2.87 GAA
