Nine years ago today (April 2nd 2011) In Game 2 of the BCHL LeagueFinals best of seven series vs the Powell River Kings, Vernon Vipers forward David Robinson scored the only goal of the game at 14:41 of the 3rd period, while Kirby Halcrow stopped all 24 Powell River shots for the shutout in a 1-0 Vipers victory in front of 1,129 fans at the Hap Parker Arena. With the win Vernon took a 2-0 series lead, would return home for Games 3 & 4 winning both games at the Wesbild Centre to eventually win the series 4-0 winning the Fred Page Cup for a twelfth time in franchise history and the third year in a row.
