News Alert – Hockey Canada Postpones Events Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

March 12, 2020 

Vernon, BC:  Hockey Canada has announced the suspension of the playoffs for all levels including Junior A and the BCHL.

“The Vernon Vipers are in full support of the decision made by Hockey Canada and BC Hockey.” says Executive Vice President of the Vipers Todd Miller.  “Ticket refunds for games 3 and 4 of the BCHL Interior Division Semi-Final will be available beginning Friday morning at 9am at the Vipers Office in Kal Tire Place.  You must have your purchased tickets in order to be issued a refund and there is no time limit on refunds.”

  2. The season hasn't ENDED yet it has just suspended play for now. Lets hope we get back to playoff hockey sooner rather than later

  3. I have a family friend who has billets/season tickets for another BCHL team and was given a letter today from the hockey team, saying the season is officially over, see you in September.

  4. Sorry guess I was wrong. Not sure why Hockey Canada can't suspend the season for now like the CHL and thus crown a Champion if possible. Giving up this quickly SUCKS!!

  5. Giving up this quickly is good planning. We won't likely reach the peak of the spread of the virus for about 2 months.
