FAIRBANKS, Alaska – A day after being named the WCHA Forward of the Week, Steven Jandric, the junior forward from Prince George, B.C. was named the WCHA Forward of the Month for the month of February.

Jandric led the WCHA and was tied for seventh in the nation in scoring with 12 points on five goals and seven assists through six February games. Jandric also led the conference in goals per games played (0.83), points per games played (2.0), power-play assists (five) and power play points (six). On Feb. 28, in the Nanooks 5-2 victory over the University of Alaska Anchorage, Jandric recorded his first career hat-trick.

Adding to his totals, Jandric also tallied three game-winning points during the month. With Jandric's strong performance, it helped the Nanooks to an unbeaten mark in February, helped them earn their eighth consecutive Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup and secured home-ice for the first round of the 2020 WCHA Playoffs.

Head coach Erik Largen had this to say about Jandric's performance this past month, "Steven has been a dominant force on the ice during the second half of the year. Every time he is on the ice right now he is a threat to create an offensive opportunity. He is hard to knock off of pucks and is tenacious to be able to get pucks back. Looking forward to seeing what Steven and the team can do in the postseason."
