  2. Fred Harbinson was in Vernon not only at Wednesdays game vs Wenatchee but also at Fridays game vs Prince George. He spends a lot of off game nights watching his opponents play. He analyses their systems and tendencies to give his team the best chance of winning games. After losing twice to the Vipers he was obviously preparing for the rematch Saturday. Like him or hate him, he is very good at what he does, always well prepared. Fred runs a high level program that exhibits skill, speed and an ability to play as a team. It is not just about recruiting & coaching.

It is nice to see Tyler Ho has found a good home after being cast off by the Vipers. He has 23 points in only 35 games. Those stats would have him tied for 6th in points for the Vipers and 4th considering points per game at .66 Just an interesting observation.

  3. Marty, was Tyler Ho “ Cast Off “ ? As his first choice was to stay in the WHL,or was he included in the Sleeth deal ? Somewhat of a gamble....If he was good enuff to stay in the WHL ? Or would he filter back to Jr A ? Appears the Vipers to the certainty of Sleeth, versus the gamble of getting Ho back.... Spin it how you want....Just a Observation !

  4. The Vipers traded Tyler Ho, Will Dow-Kenny, Coleton Bilodeau and future considerations to the Kanata Lasers June 26 2019 for Connor Sleeth.

The Lasers traded Will Dow-Kenny to Langley July 10 2019 for future considerations.

Tyler Ho never reported to Kanata, started the season with the Western Hockey League Saskatoon Blades was released after only playing in four games. Kanata traded the rights of Tyler Ho to Penticton October 23 2019 for future considerations.

Rumors going around Vipers training camp in August was Coleton Bilodeau had quit hockey and never reported to Kanata.

  5. “Anonymous”... VDHF is correct. Tyler Ho was part of the trade involving Connor Sleeth.

Just to clarify my comment...the meaning of “cast off” is “no longer wanted, abandoned, discarded” or to “let loose”. Technically this could mean by trade or release. However you define this term, Tyler was not going to be part of the 19/20 Vipers. I am happy to see any player do well once they have moved on from the Vipers, either to university, back to the WHL or wherever they land. Good for Tyler!!! I was impressed with what he showed us last year and glad he is having a good year this year. By playing 4 games with Saskatoon this year I believe he now has 4 years of Canadian University scholarship earned.

Yes, it is always a gamble to bring in WHL players but certainly more with players less than 20 years old. I do not support this idea because we have seen far too many young players leave to return to the WHL. I do however like bolstering the lineup with 20 year olds once their WHL time is up as they are usually guaranteed to stay. They bring a maturity and a willingness to compete hard in order to extend their Junior career. Good for them also!!!
