Vipers Meet Wild In Opening Round Of Playoffs:

For the third time in franchise history, the Vernon Vipers will face the Wenatchee Wild in the BCHL playoffs.

After Salmon Arm's 3-2 victory this afternoon over the visiting Merritt Centennials, the Silverbacks finished tied in points with Wenatchee for 3rd place, with the Silverbacks winning the tiebreaker, claiming 3rd. Wenatchee finishes 4th, while Vernon finishes 5th in the Interior division. Salmon Arm will play Victoria in the opening round of the playoffs, while the Vipers & Wild will meet for a third straight postseason.

The Vipers eliminated the Wild in last years playoffs in five games, winning the Interior division championship for the seventeenth time in franchise history. The Vipers were eventually eliminated in the league finals, in four games by the Prince George Spruce Kings.
