The Vernon Vipers made a couple of roster moves at the BCHL trade deadline. GM & Head Coach Jason McKee talks about the moves the team made in the final hours.
The important part of this transaction is the “future considerations”. Hopefully it is cash but it could be a player to be named after the season depending on where we finish the season. Stay tuned!!!
As of around 3:30pm this afternoon I was checking online for trades and didn't see anything. I thought maybe the Vipers were going to stay put other then sign or bring in a goaltender. Both deals were announced late In the afternoon. After listening to Jason McKee, It sounds like the Snakes & Warriors had a trade in the works with other players involved earlier this week and the deal fell through, until being finalized today. It would be interesting to know who was all involved in the earlier trade? I'm glad the Vipers didn't sit back and not make any moves today. I like both trades and think both deals help the Vipers and make the team better. I still think Vernon missed the boat and should have made at least a trade or two earlier in the season. The Vipers have been inconsistent all season and I thought needed a bit of a shakeup, should have made a trade or two back in early November or at least before the December 1st card deadline. Will see what kind of impact Karki and Bulawka bring to the Snakes and see if Vernon can clinch 3rd spot in the Interior division.
Is there something that we're missing in the the trade with the Warriors because if there isn't Jason Mckee just fleeced the new GM in Kelowna.

ReplyDeletePlayer or cash has already been determined. Doesn't matter how you finish. All details have already been decided.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion if it is a player I would only be worried about losing Jo Jo
