Former Vernon Vipers tryout goaltender Johnny Derrick made 29 saves Saturday in a 4-0 victory over the Vernon Vipers at the BCHL Showcase In Penticton to earn his first career BCHL win and first career BCHL shutout.
Derrick is in his first season with the Warriors, is 1-2 in 6 games this season with a 3.05 GAA Derrick played the past two seasons at West Vancouver Academy Prep school.
Derrick attended the Vernon Vipers Spring Camps & Training Camps in 2017 & 2018 also played in a few exhibition games in 2017 & 2018 before being cut/released. Derrick was an "AP" affiliated player with the Vipers last year.
