Draper Returning To Vipers:

Larry Draper will be returning to Vernon for a second season as assistant coach with the Vipers.

Draper joined the Vipers as an assistant coach last season (February 6th 2019) after spending the past five seasons as an assistant coach/assistant gm with the Alberta Junior Hockey League Bonnyville Pontiacs.

Don Klepp reported in an interview with Head Coach/GM Jason McKee back in July that Larry Draper will be returning and McKee is currently looking for a second assistant coach.

That statement and article can be found in the link below,

  1. good article. at least there will be some continuity regarding the returning players. on a different note, check out the Calgary Flames website about the university of Arizona hockey team. Jack Judson is in the article about their trip to china.

  3. I'm not sure about continuity with the returning players because it was obvious that he really had no repore with Ferner or the players behind the bench or even at practice. He was brought in by John Glenn part way through the season last year which was unfair for him cause he was not Ferner's guy. Lets hope it goes better for him this year

  4. I heard from several people & fans last year that the kids/Vipers really liked Larry Draper, that he was very well liked on and off the ice.
