San Jose Sharks Invite Ex Vipers Goaltender Shortridge To Development Camp:

The San Jose Sharks have invited former Vernon Vipers goaltender Andrew Shortridge to there Prospects Development Camp.

Shortridge finished his third season at Quinnipiac University recently was named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year, CCM/AHCA Hockey Division I Second Team All-American & was one of five finalists for the 2019 Mike Richter Award. 

Shortridge attended the Los Angeles Kings development camp in June 2018 signed a one year contract with the San Jose Sharks April 3rd 2019. Shortridge signed  an amateur tryout contract with the American Hockey League San Jose Barracuda. Shortridge finished the 2018-19 season with the Barracuda. Shortridge made his Barracuda debut April 13th 2019 made 33 saves in a 3-2 loss to the Colorado Eagles.

Shortridge played one season in Vernon (2015-16). In 44 games with the Vipers Shortridge went 19-25 with two shutouts posting a 3.15 GAA

Sharks Announce 2019 Development Camp Roster

47 Sharks Prospects Will Travel to San Jose To Work With Sharks Staff Beginning Tomorrow

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) are set to open their 2019 Prospects Development Camp beginning this Tues., June 25 with 47 players scheduled to attend.

The camp will take place primarily at Solar4America Ice at San Jose.

Individual tickets to the scrimmage are complimentary for Sharks365 members and Barracuda season-ticket holders. Tickets to the general public are $10 each for general admission seats, or $20 for a Family 4-Pack with net proceeds benefiting the Sharks Foundation. Tickets to the general public go on sale at 1 p.m. and can be purchased by clicking here. Sharks365 members and Barracuda STH can claim their tickets now by clicking here.

Many of the organization's top prospects are expected to participate, including 2019 second-round picks Artemi Kniazev and Dillon Hamaliuk, 2018 first-round pick Ryan Merkley, 2017 second-round pick Mario Ferraro, WHL Player of the Year Joachim Blichfeld, 2019 World Junior Silver-medalist Sasha Chmelevski, Ivan Chekhovich, Jake McGrew, Jayden Halbgewachs, Andrew Shortridge and many others.

Canadian junior players that have confirmed tryouts with San Jose include D Mitchell Brewer (ranked 128th by Future Considerations), D Hudson Wilson, D Jake Lee, C Jake Gricius, F Zachary Gallant and F Yaroslav Alexeyev.

Many of the players in attendance will comprise the roster of the 2019-20 San Jose Barracuda and will be fighting to earn a roster spot on the San Jose Sharks.

Last year's development camp featured players such as F Alex True, D Nick DeSimone and D Jacob Middleton.
