Vernon Vipers Alumni Kirbyson One Of Kelowna's Most Wanted:

Former Vernon Vipers defenceman Kevyan Kirbyson is homeless and battling addiction is one of Kelowna's most wanted.

Kirbyson played parts of two seasons in Vernon (2005-2006). Kirbyson played his first year with the 2005-06 Vernon Vipers before being traded halfway through the 2006-07 season. The Vipers traded Kirbyson to Powell River December 1st 2006 for future considerations. In 48 games Kirbyson collected three assists.

Crime Stoppers - Nov 15, 2018 

Crime Stoppers is asking the public’s assistance in locating the following male who is wanted on a province-wide warrant in effect as of November 15, 2018. 

Kevyn David Kirbyson (DOB 1988-11-28) is wanted for two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Kirbyson is described as a 29-year-old Caucasian male, 5’11” tall and 190 lbs.  He has brown hair and blue eyes. 

Crime Stoppers will pay cash for information leading to the arrest of this suspect.  If you see him, do not approach him.

  1. Clearly a tragic situation, one that seems to have deteriorated even more since October. When watching this video I was optimistic that he could overcome his demons and get his life back on track. Watching these young men play the game it looks like they have wonderful lives and bright futures. We are keenly interested in them since we "adopt" them for their years in Vernon. It is hard to hear that sometimes their lives have run off the rails and they are struggling. Hopefully Kevin gets the help he needs and turns things in a more positive direction. Our hearts & prayers are with you, stay strong.

  2. I remember kevyn from his days at B.W.C , He was a nice kid with a great family, I sure hope he can get thru this and clean himself up and get his life back in order.

  3. I remember watching Kevyn play with the Vipers. I wish Kevyn the best of luck and hope he can turn his life around and make better choices in life for his friends and family that care about him so much! There are people out there that care about you and your health-life. Best of luck in these hard times Kevyn. Viper fans are on your side and thinking about you and your family.
