Civic Arena is gone

Having stood for 80 years, Vernon's Civic Arena has been reduced to a single wall and a pile of rubble.
Last year, city officials decided it was too expensive to keep the aging building so it was decided to tear it down and use the land for something else.
Demolition of the historic arena began in September with crews salvaging what they could and scrapping the rest.
