Vernon Vipers a team still in learning with a coach who must get frustrated at times as I am sure he can see the end result but wishes it where sooner rather than later. Go. Vipers. Go.
ReplyDeleteGonna be a team in learning with a new coach at this rate
ReplyDeleteWaiting to see what will be Jesse's suspension for another "blow to the head" penalty. Again I question whether it was the right call, possibly could have been a charge or boarding call with no followup suspension. The game is too fast for these horrible refs to determine for sure that the primary area of contact was the head. The refs hand out BTTH penalties with resulting suspensions with far too much regularity. If you don't believe this statement then check the BCHL Discipline site for proof, 18 of the 27 suspensions since September. The refs & BCHL have been effective at taking hitting out of our game as they have with fighting. The game is now about pushing, rubbing out or "pick plays" rather about clean hockey hits. We are all concerned about player safety and do not want to see a violent game but they have taken this too far. All this at a time when the NHL has stated it wants to see more hitting back into the game. I my opinion it is no coincidence that overall league attendance is declining.
ReplyDeleteShoulder to shoulder hit by Lansdell. Kevin Crowell has always had something against the Vipers. Couldn't make it as a player..Can't make as a ref in the WHL,so we're stuck having him make brutal calls in the BCHL . The Vipers were so afraid to make a hit after that call that the flow and intensity of the game was ruined by one bad call
