Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers would like to announce they have acquired Landon Fuller (99) from the Coquitlam Express in exchange for Nicholas Wildgoose (99).

Fuller from Williams Lake is a veteran presence who brings a wealth of experience up front and on the blueline.  Fuller had a goal and three assists in 38 games for the Express last season.

“He’s the type of player who is extremely hard to play against,” says Head Coach and GM of the Vipers Mark Ferner.  “He’s a body we’re familiar with and it was a trade we needed to make.”

Nick Wildgoose had a pair of goals this season.  The Vipers would like to wish Nick all the best with the Express and welcome Landon to Vernon.

Fuller is expected to be in the lineup on Friday as the Vipers host the Wenatchee Wild.

For more information please contact the Vipers Office at 250-542-6022.

  1. I also note that Max Palaga, an 18 year old goaltender, is now on the Vipers roster on Elite Prospects. The changes aren't done.

  5. VDH already provides all the Viper news we need. The Vipers website is a total joke and has certainly not improved with the new ownership. VDH please keep up the good work, we love your blog and appreciate being able to comment.

  6. I was a little surprised of this trade. After the Vipers have lost three straight and went winless in Chilliwack at the BCHL Showcase losing to two last place teams, Nanaimo had just one win on the season at the time, while Surrey was winless before beating the Vipers, you knew something was going to happen. I was just surprised to see Nicholas Wildgoose being traded. One of the Vipers recruits heading into training camp, I liked his play at times and thought he played well at times, seemed to be involved in the play and was creating/generating opportunities.

I like the sounds of Landon Fuller. Another big body added to the Snakes blueline. I remember the name but don't recall him standing out or playing well against the Vipers in the past. Has played for Surrey, Salmon Arm, Coquitlam & the Western Hockey League Tri-City Americans has lots of experience. Doesn't put much up for points but Im guessing his physical play on the blueline and defensive play is more of what the Vipers are looking from him.

I wonder if will see anymore moves this week or next week?
