Jacksonville, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen, proud affiliate of the NHL Winnipeg Jets and AHL Manitoba Moose, today announced the second player signing of the 2018-2019 season, presented by Community First Credit Union, returning forward Cody Fowlie.

The 25 year-old Airdrie, Alberta native joined the Icemen in February last season following the culmination of his collegiate career at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan. The 6-foot, 205-pound forward recorded 14 points (4G, 10A) in 21 games for the Icemen.

“Again, character is a big factor in building a successful program and Cody is a great guy, just a down-to-earth person. He did well at university, then came in at the end of our year and had a good finish with us. We’re looking for big things out of him,” said Icemen Head Coach Jason Christie.

Jacksonville opens it’s second season of play at home on October 13th at Veterans Memorial Arena against the South Carolina Stingrays.
