Ottawa Senators Sign Ex Viper Forward Tambellini:

The Ottawa Senators have signed former Vernon Vipers forward Adam Tambellini.

Tambellini spent the past three seasons with the American Hockey League Hartford Wolf Pack. In 69 games last season Tembellini collected (16-goals-16-assists-32-points).

Tambellini attended the New York Rangers 2014 Prospect Development Camp, left the University of North Dakota in January 2014 for the Western Hockey League joining the Calgary Hitmen January 8th 2014 after being acquired in a trade with the Portland Winterhawks. 

Tambellini played a season and a half in Vernon (2011-13) before being traded to Surrey on January 10th 2013 along with future considerations (Michael Roberts) for Mason Blacklock & future considerations (Jordan Klimek and Demico Hannoun). In 91 regular season games with the Vipers Tambellini collected (49-goals-46-assists-95-points). Tambellini was drafted 64th overall in the 3rd Round by the New York Rangers at the 2013 NHL Draft.

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has signed forward Adam Tambellini to a two-way, one-year contract. The contract will carry a value of $650,000 in the National Hockey League and $85,000 in the American Hockey League.
Tambellini, 23, scored 16 goals and added 16 assists for 32 points in 69 games with the New York Rangers AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack, last season. In three professional seasons, the 6-4, 195-pound forward has scored 46 goals and added 53 assists for 99 points in 211 AHL games, all with Hartford.

A Port Moody, B.C., native, Tambellini was drafted by the Rangers in the third round (65th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.
