  4. I liked Brushett but do not understand this move and doubt whether he would stay in Vernon. With all potential returnees from last year the team may already be at the 6 - 20 year old limit. It is doubtful Ferner would chose to keep Brushett over a player already here. I think it is more of a house keeping issue to deal with the futures part of previous deals. Any word on Williamson or Sandu returning yet?

  5. I also liked Ryan Brushett when he played with the Vipers. He was one of if not the quickest kid on the team. Had good speed, skill, soft hands, was always thinking offence. Brushett created/generated plays, made things happen in a hurry but didn't pass enough. Held the puck and held the puck, until eventually losing it or turning it over. He was one of the better kids at training camp last summer and I was surprised to see him traded just days before the regular season. He put up good numbers with the Surrey Eagles last year. Vernon has ten players returning from last season. Other then three, maybe four players the Vipers don't have the scoring they had last year. Four out of the seven forwards returning from last years Viper team will be entering just their second season in the BCHL. So the Vipers could use some skill/offence like a Ryan Brushett. No official press release from the Vipers on Ryan Brushett being traded.
