Ex Viper Sagissor Scores Overtime Winner-Gives Jets Series Lead:

Former Vernon Vipers forward Simon Sagissor scored the overtime winner Sunday in Fairbanks, giving the North American Hockey League Janesville Jets a 3-2 overtime victory over the Fairbanks Ice Dogs & a 2-1 series lead in the best-of-five Midwest Division Finals.

Sagissor played parts of last season with the Vipers playing in 18 games. The Vipers signed Sagissor at the BCHL trade deadline (January 10th 2017). Sagissor attened the Vipers training camp this season, played in two exhibition games before being released. The Jets acquired/signed Sagissor September 19th 2017.

In 54 regular season games with the Jets this season Sagissor collected (8-goals-13-assists-21-points).

The Janesville Jets will return home one win away from advancing to the Robertson Cup finals.

Simon Sagissor scored in overtime Sunday as the Jets tipped the Fairbanks Ice Dogs 3-2 to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five Midwest Division Finals.

The series will shift to Janesville for Game 4 on Friday.

Janesville trailed 2-0 after two periods, but Sam Renlund continued his blistering scoring pace with two quick goals to tie the game with 17:18 remaining in regulation. The Colorado College commit leads the NAHL with seven playoff goals.

Jakov Novak assisted Sagissor for the game-winner 14:02 into the extra period.

Jax Murray and Daniel Haider each scored for top-seeded Fairbanks, which went 5-1 against Janesville during the regular season.

The Jets have shown that anything can happen during the postseason. They need one more win to reach the Robertson Cup finals for the second straight year.
