Arizona Coyotes Release Ex Vernon Viper Strachan:

The Arizona Coyotes have released former Vernon Vipers defenceman
Tyson Strachan.

The Coyotes invited Strachan to training camp September 7th 2017.

Strachan played last season with the American Hockey League Rochester Americans.

After four years at Ohio State University Strachan has played the past ten seasons with twelve teams in three leagues (Albany River Rats, Las Vegas Wranglers, Peoria Rivermen, St. Louis Blues, Florida Panthers, San Antonio Rampage, Washington Capitals, Hershey Bears, Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Iowa Wild & Rochester Americans).

Strachan played one season in Vernon (2002-03) collecting (6-goals-22-assists-28-points) in 56 regular season games with the Vipers.

Strachan was drafted by Carolina in the 5th Round (137th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have assigned the following nine players to the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

The Coyotes have also released defenseman Tyson Strachan from his professional tryout agreement.

The Coyotes now have 37 players remaining in training camp.
