The Vernon Vipers unveiled their new home jersey's Saturday night in the Vipers home opener vs the visiting Salmon Arm Silverbacks. The Vipers had been wearing their previous home jerseys since the 2009-10 season. Vernon defeated Salmon Arm 6-5. The Vipers will wear the previous Florida Panther home & away jersey's for the 2017-18 season. The Panthers wore these jersey's from 2006-2016 before coming out with new jerseys-logo last season. The Vipers have yet to unveil their third jersey for this season.

I love these! One thing I have never enjoyed though, is the company that puts the logo together. Since the civic days, the real logo's colors have never matched the jersey logo. Otherwise they're amazing!
ReplyDeleteI really like the new home jersey's! The Vipers have worn the same home jersey's since the 2009-10 season, switching up the away and third set jersey's every few seasons. The Vipers previous home jersey's never went with-matched their current road uniforms. I always wondered why they didn't make this change years ago?
ReplyDeleteThe Vipers have gone with the old Florida Panther away/third set jersey's as their road and third set jersey's but never switched over to the old Panther home jersey's until this year. The Vipers will now have matching home & away jersey's going with the Florida Panthers old jerseys.
I don't like when teams change jersey's, team colors, logos etc often. I'm very old school and love tradition. I think it's super cool when teams keep the same jersey-logo-colors and stick with them. Like the Montreal Canadians, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs etc Yes some of those teams have tweaked their jerseys over the years but resemble the original look for the most part.
I know this is Junior hockey and teams have to make money selling merchandise but I still like when teams stick with tradition and keep their original uniforms etc.
